“As I don’t like excuses, a fight is a fight and one day we win, but the next we learn. I trained well, I made weight with ease, but God wanted the victory to go to my opponent. I will correct the mistakes and come back stronger. Knowing why we fall to learn how to get up stronger”, said ‘Cowboy’.
In the last fight of the preliminary card, the Brazilian started working on low kicks and ended up losing his balance Randy Brown. However, the American managed to land a cross and took down Cowboy, who still tried to leave, but was finished with a rear naked choke in the first round. Now, the fighter has promised to come back stronger in the future.
“Tomorrow I will be getting up stronger. The only ones who don't lose are those who don't fight and those who don't stand up are 'sardines', because I came from a different background. I apologize to everyone, but we are human. We made mistakes, we lost, but we also won”, concluded the Brazilian.
With the new defeat, Cowboy continues to experience a period of instability in the organization. Now, the Brazilian has six defeats in his last 10 fights. The fighter needs a positive result in his next commitment to avoid the risk of being on the feared layoff list. In his record, there are 22 triumphs, ten defeats and one draw in his career.
