UFC president, Dana White, doesn't hide his happiness for the first women's fight in Ultimate's history. The director, who for years was against the inclusion of women in sport, revealed that the fight between Ronda Rousey and Liz Carmouche is the duel that attracted the most press attention in the entire history of the organization.

“We are excited for this fight. It is, without a doubt, the fight that attracted the most attention from the press. I didn't even know that was going to happen. And no one spoke to criticize, which was really cool,” said White, who compared the women’s duel to the fight between Cain Velazquez e Junior Gypsy, an event that began the UFC's partnership with the FOX television network.

“The last event we held here (Anaheim) was Velasquez x Cigano, and we already sold more tickets than that show”, added White, in the last press conference before the fight.

The fight program also features a dispute between the Brazilian Lyoto Machida against the North American Dan Henderson, where the winner will be the next challenger for the light heavyweight belt.
