Dana White confirms Nick Diaz's return to MMA: 'He wants to fight'

In a post-UFC 261 press conference, the president announced that he would have a conversation with the 'Bad Boy' to define his return to Ultimate

Without competing for just over six years, Nick Diaz is back in MMA. The American, who is one of the most popular athletes in the welterweight division, has been training at high intensity and should return to the division soon. Ultimate's president, Dana White, also spoke about the topic and 'opened the doors' for his return.

Earlier this year, White even joked about Diaz's possible return. He stated, at the time, that the fighter did not appear to be ready to compete.

The discourse, however, seems to have changed. When asked if it would be crazy to consider Khamzat Shimaev as a potential opponent for the North American, Dana answered a simple ‘no’.
