Organization announces two more fights for UFC 160

The Ultimate organization announced two more new fights, both valid in the lightweight category, for the UFC 160 card, which precedes the Memorial Day in the United States: Gray Maynard x TJ Grant and Khabib Nurmagomedov x Abel Trujillo. The event in Las Vegas now has seven clashes announced.

The former lightweight title challenger, Gray Maynard, returns to the octagon after the victory over Clay guida and at UFC on FX 4, in June of last year. “The Bully”, as he is known, is looking to move up in the category again after suffering the only defeat of his career in October 2011, in his third fight against the then champion Frankie Edgar. His opponent, Canadian TJ Grant, is on a four-fight UFC winning streak and is undefeated since debuting in the lightweight category.

In the other fight announced, the North American Abel Trujillo, who comes from five consecutive victories, the last of them in his debut in Ultimate, faces the Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov, undefeated in his 19 fights so far. Nurmagomedov, or “The Eagle”, a nickname that makes it easier to pronounce and read, is already in 10th place in the UFC lightweight rankings. The Russian can move up even further in the category if he reaches his 20th consecutive victory.
