Even without any relation to Ultimate, the victory of Jake Paul about Ben Askren ended up being news within the company chaired by Dana White. Protagonist of UFC Las Vegas 24, Robert whittaker I found out at the press conference after the show about the success of youtuber in front of the veteran and commented on the result. The Australian was also direct when asked if he would agree to a super fight against the digital influencer.

“Askren is not known for his boxing qualities, is he? Good for him (Jake Paul). He is part of it. Good for him,” Whittaker said.
A standout in the UFC's middleweight (up to 83,9 kg), Robert was also asked if he would agree to trade forces against Paul in a possible duel in the 'noble art'. Knowing that the former Bellator and ONE Championship champion received US$500 (around R$2,7 million), the Australian did not hesitate when asked if, for the price, he would share a ring with the digital influencer.
“I would fight him for less (laughs)”, said the fighter.
While Jake exchanged forces with Askren, at an event held in Atlanta (USA), Whittaker faced Kelvin Gastelum in the main fight of UFC Vegas 24. Just like the youtuber, Robert was also successful in his challenge. With one of the most dominant performances of his career, the Australian beat the North American on points and got closer to the opportunity to try to regain his old belt, lost in 2019 to the current middleweight champion, Israel adesanya.
