MMA is close to winning a long political battle in the United States. After more than 10 years of court disputes, the sport should be regulated in the State of New York in the coming days. According to a report from the North American website MMA Mania, the Manhattan court judge agreed that the events can be held in the state, as long as event promoters and prosecutors in the region reach an amicable agreement.

If the agreement is finalized, the sanction of the law that regulates the sport will open the possibility of holding events in New York, the largest North American city. UFC president, Dana White, has never hidden his dream of promoting a big show in the city of the Statue of Liberty.

“I won’t rest until I see MMA sanctioned in New York. My dream is to have an event at a packed Madison Square Garden,” said White. The director's expectation is that the show celebrating 20 years of Ultimate will be held in New York.
