Still recovering, Volkanovski talks about his expectations for TUF 29 against Brian Ortega

Featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg), athlete spoke excitedly about recording the reality show and improving his Covid-19 symptoms

The featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg) Alexander Volkanovsky talked about his expectations for the recordings of the reality show 'The Ultimate Fighter', which will star with Brian ortega. The Australian admitted he was excited to participate in the program and talked about his recovery from Covid-19. The statement was given to the channel 'Helen Yee Sports'

“It will be fun. I can't wait to go outside. I love being in front of the camera, so it's going to be a really fun four or five weeks. I'm looking forward to it. It'll be a good joke. Obviously, I will also gain a lot of knowledge and I simply can't wait,” said Volkanovski.

The featherweight leader talked about how he has been dealing with his recovery from Covid-19. Still not 100%, Alex said he has not yet returned to training, but intends to enjoy every minute of the program's recordings.

“You just have to stay positive through all of these things and always look forward and know that everything is going to work out in the end. So, I'm here to stay and I'm going to make the most of this whole process (recording)”, declared Alex.

Current leader of the group up to 65,7kg, Alexander Volkanovsky has a record of 22 wins and one loss. Still undefeated in Ultimate, the Australian is looking for a full recovery to return to action.

In his last fight, the Australian won Max Holloway, by points, in UFC 251, in July 2020. His next title defense will be against Brian ortega, after the recording of the reality show, however, the location and date have not yet been defined.
