This is new. In preparation for a historical trilogy, Dustin poirier found an unusual way to promote the new fight against Conor McGregor, confirmed for the UFC 254, on July 10th. In a discussion on social media, the North American took advantage of the opportunity to demand a donation of US$500 (around R$282), promised by the 'Notório', and which would be sent to the 'The Good Fight Foundation'. The statement was made after a publication of 'Notório', which predicted how 'Diamante' will win.

“That’s a fun prediction, McGregor. We also anticipated a donation to my foundation and you, along with your team, stopped responding after the fight in January. See you soon. In July, you will pay everything”, wrote Dustin, in his account on Twitter.
Upon realizing Poirier's statement, it didn't take long for Conor to defend himself. Also on social media, the Irishman explained why he had not forwarded the expected amount to the North American.
“A donation is not a debt. We are waiting for them to send us their plans for the money, which never arrived. I comply with all my donations. I know exactly where they're going. Otherwise, the money will go away. This is the case for many foundations, unfortunately. You chose McGregor before the (lightweight) belt. That shows a lot”, countered the 'Notório'.
With public demand, Dustin and Conor begin to promote a confrontation that could go down in MMA history. In January, the clash between athletes broke spectator records. On that occasion, the North American overpowered the Irishman with a knockout in the second round, taking into account the setback suffered more than five years ago, and tying the fight.
A donation, not a debt. We've been awaiting the plans for the money that never came. I do with all my donations. Know where it's going dot for dot. Otherwise it goes walking. As is the case with a lot of these foundations, sadly. You took the McG over the belt shows I was right.
