Hardly punished in the first stage, Bahamondes' face was badly injured during the battle. Despite enduring his opponent's attacks and being in danger in his comebacks, the Chilean left the Octagon with considerable swelling in his head.

The defeat marked the fourth negative result in Ignacio's career. Discovered by the ‘Contender Series’, the Chilean had not lost since September 2020.

A UFC veteran, Makdessi recovered from the defeat he suffered against Francisco Massaranduba, in March of last season. The North American now has 18 triumphs and seven setbacks in MMA.
