At 37 years old, Thiago Alves debuted at the BKFC event in a 'war' against Julian Lane. On that occasion, the Brazilian won the fight with a split decision from the judges. Previously, he worked for 14 years in Ultimate and had 27 fights in the organization, in addition to competing for the welterweight belt (up to 77kg.) against Georges St-Pierre at UFC 100. His record has 24 wins and 15 career defeats.
