Even with Khabib Nurmagomedov officially retired, Tony Ferguson seems not to have forgotten the rivalry with the Russian. With a scheduled fight against Beneil Dariush protocols for UFC 262, the North American took advantage of his preparation to poke at his old rival. The former fighter, however, acted restrained and did not fall into the American's trap.

“You’ll see me soon,” wrote Ferguson, on his Twitter account.Twitter'.
Noticing the 'Bogeyman's' attack, Nurmagomedov didn't take long to retaliate against his rival. Retired with an undefeated record in MMA, Khabib mocked the proposal and asked Tony to focus on winning again in the company.
“You have a fight soon. His opponent is tough and the most underrated lightweight (up to 70,3kg). Focus on him. I wish you and your family the best, even if you look like sh*t,” Nurmagomedov countered.
For years, Khabib and Ferguson took over the imagination of MMA fans. The 'dream fight' was confirmed on five occasions, but never got off the ground. In all situations, one of the combatants had to leave the commitment.
An absolute lightweight legend, Nurmagomedov left MMA with a perfect record. The athlete did not know what it was like to lose in 29 contests.
A veteran of the sport, Tony, 37 years old, is not experiencing the best moment of his career. Considered one of the most feared men in the history of the category, the American comes from two negative results in a row, and needs to win his next duel to avoid complications in the UFC.
You have a fight soon, your opponent is very tough and most underestimated in lightweight division, focus on him. I wish you and your family better, even though you look like a shit.
