Do Bronx rival, Michael Chandler explains how he intends to beat Brazilian in the fight for the belt

Opponent of the São Paulo native at UFC 262, the North American highlights loopholes that can be exploited in the lightweight game

To fulfill his dream of winning the vacant lightweight title (up to 70,3kg) in the UFC 262, Michael chandler You will need to go through one of the biggest challenges of your career. “If you look at his fight (Charles, against Paul felder, in 2017), he gave up due to scams. You can see this in several fights. If he can't prevail against you, there comes a point where he looks at you and decides: 'Okay, you won this one. I’m going to take half my pay and go home,” Michael said.

Former Bellator lightweight champion, Chandler believes that his characteristics will be able to nullify the momentum of one of the category's biggest standouts. Thus, the North American narrated how he imagines the confrontation will unfold.

“I think this (Charles being intimidated) will happen several times in our fight. He will look into my eyes, feel the strength I possess and notice that I get better and better while he is on a quick journey to panic. I think that's what's going to happen. Let’s see,” said the athlete.
