The Brazilian Anderson Silva I already have a date and place to compete again. Since leaving the UFC in 2020, Spider has been flirting with retirement, but will debut in the boxing ring at the age of 45. The former Ultimate champion will face Mexican Julio César Chávez Jr.

At 35 years old, Júnior experienced his peak in boxing between 2006 and 2015, when he won and defended the WBC (World Boxing Confederation) belt. Over his 17-year career, the athlete, who is the son of the legendary Julio César Chávez, competed in 59 fights, winning 52 and losing on five occasions.

One of the biggest names in UFC history, the Brazilian has never hidden his desire to venture into boxing. At his peak, the 'Spider' always made public his desire to exchange forces against Roy Jones Jr., an opponent of Mike Tyson in a superfight held in 2020.
At 45 years old, he ruled out retirement after breaking his contract with Ultimate. Despite not indicating what the next step in his successful career will be, the Brazilian stated that he will continue performing.
