The Brazilian Chris Cyborg wants to leave the UFC and asked the organization to release her from her current contract, informed the fighter's agent, Tito Ortiz. On Friday night (8), in an interview with the program Inside MMA, shown on North American cable TV, Tito even stated that he was the author of the request on behalf of the Brazilian woman.

“Now we are waiting for the UFC to release her. We asked them to release her, so Dana spoke to me yesterday and made a new offer. I went to Cyborg, she said she didn't want it and we simply asked her to be let go,” he said. Tito Ortiz.

One of the main reasons that caused such dissatisfaction, according to the agent, was the absence of the female featherweight category, in which Chris Cyborg Act. In Ortiz's view, with no room to fight, what remains for his representative to do is look for a new event.

A possible exit from Chris Cyborg of the UFC, with whom it has a contract due to the absorption of athletes from the extinct Strikeforce, would make it even more difficult to hold one of the most coveted fights in women's MMA: between the Brazilian and the North American Ronda Rousey. Rousey currently holds the UFC women's bantamweight belt and will defend the title for the first time on February 23, against compatriot Liz Carmouche.
