Before UFC 260, Dana names Miocic as the best heavyweight in MMA history

Asked about the American's legacy in sport, the president places the athlete at the highest point of the podium among the greatest

About to defend his heavyweight title (up to 120,2 kg) once again, at UFC 260, Stipe Miocic received a very special compliment from UFC president, Dana White. In an interview with the channel '3News', the 'boss' declared that the current owner of the belt is the greatest athlete who has ever fought in this division.

“He is the greatest heavyweight of all time. Not just in the UFC, but in all of MMA. He is a great ambassador for the sport and the brand. Such a good human being, such a normal guy and you couldn’t ask for more from any of his champions,” White said.

With four successful defenses of the heavyweight title, Miocic is the UFC record holder in the category. In his next fight, he will face again, Francis Ngannou, with whom he already met in January 2018, and won on points.

With a record of 20 wins and three losses, the 31-year-old fighter is trying to remain as leader of the division, a position he has held since 2019. In his last fight, he won Daniel Cormier, UFC 252in August 2020.

PUBLICITY:

The most memorable moment of his career was in May 2016, when he knocked out the then champion of the category, Fabricio Werdum. The historic triumph took place in Curitiba, in front of 45 thousand Brazilians.
