Tyson's statement is at odds with the recent statement from Kris Lawrence, one of Evander's representatives. At the time, the agent stated that Mike had refused an offer of US$25 million (about 276,5 million) for a new meeting with his client.
Former heavyweight boxing champions, 'Iron Man' and Holyfield promoted one of the greatest rivalries in the history of boxing. In both encounters, Evander was superior to his opponent, taking the belt from Tyson in 1996 and defending his position in 1997.
In November 2020, Mike returned to the ring after more than 15 years of inactivity. At 54 years old, the fighter had an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr. held with special rules to preserve the physical integrity of the 'XNUMXs'.
