The UFC's official announcer, Bruce Buffer, is preparing to begin a career in another field: literature. From May 14th, the book will be on sale in bookstores in the United States and on the main North American retail portals It's time!, autobiography of the voice of the Ultimate Octagons since its 10th edition.
In an interview with the portal MMAJunkie, Buffer himself commented on the publication. “In these pages, I want to talk about the passion that initially led me to bet everything on this sport, going back to when MMA was banned in half the country and there was nothing to be done about it,” he said. The announcer also promises to tell stories from his childhood, such as meeting his brother – and boxing announcer – Michael Buffer, and his declared passion: poker.
But struggles should not remain in the background in the work. “I'm going to talk about the time I spent with guys like Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz, Chuck Liddell, BJ Penn and Jon Jones. Telling my vision, next to the octagon, of fights that everyone remembers”, declared Buffer. “But I will also talk about some memorable fights that took place outside the octagon”, he concluded.
