Former UFC lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg), Eddie Alvarez, left some advice for his former rival, Conor McGregor. According to him, extra motivation will be needed for the Irishman to return to performing at his peak and suggests that 'financial independence' could harm his performance in a possible trilogy against Dustin poirier.

“When you have 100 million dollars in the bank, the meaning of 'fight' changes. Fighting is having to deal with adversity every day and being willing to hear no. Having to wake up early and do things you don't want to do. This requires discipline and hardens you into a good fighter. And the idea of being a millionaire, with everyone saying 'yes', you end up making your own agenda, waking up when you want and ending up softening up as a fighter”, said Alvarez in an interview with 'Fanatics View'.
Former rival, Eddie Alvarez still proposes Conor McGregor a period of rest so that you can put your career in order and become 'tough' in your career.
“I'm excited to see Conor returning to his high level, but he needs to toughen up as a man and get rid of all these things. Maybe have a period of rest and, naturally, become strong again over time”, added the fighter.
