Damaged in the main fight of the UFC Las Vegas 21 after being the victim of a 'finger in the eye' applied by Leon edwards, the patience of Belal Muhammad | has come to an end. Upon noticing the Englishman's stance, who refused a rematch and seeks a title fight, the North American made his irritation public and criticized his rival. In an interview with 'MMA fighting', the welterweight (up to 77kg.) did not spare number three in the ranking.

“I didn't have any problems with him before, but I do now, because of the attitude he has maintained. I'm a difficult guy to take seriously, but he irritated me and has made me nervous by saying: 'I won the first round, so we know what will happen next”, said Muhammad.

The criticism of Edwards did not stop there. Upon learning that Leon 'moved on' and plans to compete for the category title next, the North American vented. Although he was disadvantaged in the first round, the confrontation was not over yet, as the poke in the eye happened at the beginning of the second round.

“It’s a five-round fight, you idiot. I literally caught the 'car running' (Muhammad replaced Khamzat Shimaev last minute), so him acting like this is what upsets me the most”, he said.

Finally, Belal issued an ultimatum to Edwards who, shortly after the UFC Las Vegas 21, admitted that he does not feel the need to give Muhammad a rematch.

“Man to man, if you are happy with the result, you shouldn't call yourself a fighter, challenger or champion. If you are happy with the result, you should hang up your gloves”, he concluded.

In the confrontation against Leon, Belal had the opportunity to have the most important fight of his career to date. Current number 13 in the ranking led by Kamaru Usman, the North American could have made an important leap in the category, if he had won. The unusual outcome, however, postponed the athlete's dream.
