Confident, Derrick Lewis projects possible confrontation against Jon Jones in the heavyweight division

Coming off a victory against Curtis Blaydes, the heavyweight believes that, in a hypothetical duel, 'Bones' would try to keep his distance

the change of Jon Jones to heavyweights (up to 120,2kg.) of Ultimate has caused great repercussion among fighters in the category. Former light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg), the North American must face the winner of ‘Miocic x Ngannou’, in the UFC 260. Despite that, Derrick Lewis is attentive to the possibilities in the division and even spoke about a possible confrontation against ‘Bones' in the future.

“It’s good to see the Jon Jones rising to the top. I imagine myself in a fight against him and I know what the game plan would be if he wants to face me. I don't think he'll try to take me down, but he'll try to keep his distance," Lewis said in an interview with 'The Joe Rogan Experience'.

The North American also gave his opinion on the muscle gain of Jon Jones. According to him, there is no need toBones’ become even stronger.

“I don't believe he should try to gain even more weight. I believe it is good enough. He must weigh around 109kg. I don’t think he should keep gaining weight or gain even more mass like he should,” concluded the heavyweight.
