Muhammad reports fear of losing his vision after Edwards' 'finger in the eye': 'I couldn't see anything'

The North American also reveals frustration with the result and says that a victory against the Englishman could have 'changed his life'

“Honestly, I thought I was blind. I was moving my eye around and literally couldn't see anything. I closed my other eye just hoping I could see something, but I couldn't see anything at all,” Muhammad said in an interview with 'MMA fighting'.

Still talking about the fight, Belal confesses frustration at working hard enough to have the opportunity to face Leon and, when he finally did, he was unable to show his potential for a possible title fight in the future.

“You work your entire career at that moment. My life could have changed with that fight. I could have beaten him and fought for the title in the next fight. That was a life-changing moment for me and my family and many things could have changed. But everything was ripped out by a finger in the eye”, concluded the fighter.
