Climb to face Valentina Shevchenko in the fight for the flyweight belt (up to 56,7kg.), Jessica Stacker dream big within the new category. Former strawweight champion (up to 52,1 kg), the Paraná native stated that her goal is to defeat the athlete from Kyrgyzstan and dominate the division. The statement was given in an interview with 'Combate'.

Aware of the great challenge that lies ahead, Jéssica adopted a respectful tone towards Valentina and commented on what she studied about her rival. The Brazilian also talked about one of her main strategies for combat.
“Valentina has many strengths and few weaknesses. One of these points that we were able to notice was in the fight she had against Jennifer maia. There was the ground part, where Jennifer fell, and she managed to pin herself on top. As I am a very strong fighter, I believe I can use this to my advantage. I have very good takedowns, I work very well on the ground too. I believe I can do this during combat. One of the strengths of our strategy is to put the fight down,” said the Brazilian.
With a record of 21 wins and eight losses, Jessica Stacker became leader of the straw division after winning Rose namajunas, UFC 237, in May 2018. Just over three months later, she lost her title to Wheili Zang, and was then defeated in a rematch against 'Thug Rose'. After moving up a category, he debuted by winning Katlyn chookagian, in October 2020 and took the lead in the ranking.
