The Brazilian became the record holder for submissions in the bantamweight category (up to 61,2kg) and, looking to take advantage of the good moment, he has already said he has in mind who he would like to face in his next fight. “It’s an honor to be the top finisher in this category. When I started in this sport, I expected to be the biggest in the UFC, and that hasn't happened yet, but today I'm the best finisher in the division,” said the 36-year-old fighter.

An Ultimate veteran, Rani said he already knows some of the rivals he would like to face soon, including a former challenger for the category title. The veteran also named a fighter he had faced previously, but the fight had no declared winner.

“I know that the Urijah faber is active, and we have been fighting for practically the same time. It's a duel I would like. (Another) guy who got really choked up is Enrique Barzola. We drew (in 2020) and we can have a rematch to define this situation. There's another guy, too, that I'd like to (face) who is Alex Caceres. He catches my attention and he has been in his career for a long time, almost as long as me”, concluded the bantamweight.
