the olympic medalist Henry Cejudo (photo) may be switching from wrestling to MMA. According to the MMAJunkie portal, the champion of the under-55kg category of the Olympic wrestling tournament in Beijing-2008 will announce the change of sport next week.

One of the main justifications given by William McFarlane, the athlete's manager, is the difficulty in making the weight of the category in wrestling. “Reducing weight to 55kg is very difficult,” said McFarlane, who believes Cejudo will fight in the bantamweight division. “He was 59kg when he competed in 2008. Today he is 63,5kg and has only 5% body fat”, he added.

The businessman confirmed that there are proposals for Cejudo in several organizations, including the UFC, but that the proposals continue to be analyzed. McFarlane also stated that his client is still looking for a full-time MMA trainer, although he has trained at several gyms in recent times.
