The name of Chris Weidman gained strength in recent days to be the next challenger for the Anderson Silva, but another well-known fighter runs on the outside to try to dethrone the “Spider” reign. UFC president Dana White revealed that the North American Rashad evans, former light heavyweight champion, could be a candidate for the title if he agrees to move down a category.

“I would consider Rashad. If Rashad wins on Saturday, and says he would like to move down to 84 pounds, we would consider that,” White said, referencing the fight between Rashad evans e Rogério Minotouro.

The director, however, ruled out any possibility of a fight between Rashad and Anderson at combined weight. “What’s the point of doing this fight in a combined weight class? Just for Rashad to face Anderson? I think this fight has to be for the title, so Rashad would have to go down to 84 kilos or else this fight wouldn't happen”, he concluded.

Why doesn't this piece of shit Grana White bring someone from the heavyweights down to break Bones Jones, he protects the foreigners and wants to screw the Brasucas, Edgar came down to get Aldo, he wants someone to get down to get AS, Velasquez had to fight with the overbomba before facing the gypsy...he doesn't swallow the aldo or the AS that harass him directly...that's why I never support the Brazilians like some idiots out there...
