Michel and Tirloni lose and Brazil is left without a representative in the Bellator lightweight GP

Thiago Michel BellatorBrazil no longer has representatives from the Bellator lightweight GP. On Wednesday (30), the potiguar Patricky Pitbull had already announced his withdrawal from the tournament due to a knee injury. This Thursday (31), in the 87th edition of the show, Thiago Michel from Minas Gerais and Ricardo Tirloni from Santa Catarina were surpassed by Alexander Sarnavskiy and Will Brooks, respectively.

The first Brazilian to perform on the show, Thiago Michel was unable to impose his sharp Muay Thai and ended up submitted by Alexander Sarnavskiy with a rear naked choke in the second round. Ricardo Tirloni started the duel well against the undefeated Will Brooks, but with good movement and working with a game of takedowns, the American ended up taking the fight with a unanimous decision from the judges.

The only Tupiniquim victory of the night came on the preliminary card. Making his debut on the show, Samuel Quito submitted Ben Lagman with a leglock in the second round.
