Holly Holm reveals why she retired from fighting Julianna Peña

Former bantamweight champion, North American confirms kidney problem and suggests that clash against Venezuelan be rescheduled

Former UFC bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg), Holly holm revealed the reason that removed her from the confrontation against Julianna Pena, which would take place on May 8th. On her social networks, the American released a video explaining her absence from the match due to a kidney problem. The fighter stated that her recovery will be quick.

Unable to compete in May, the American guaranteed that her recovery process will be quick. This way, the combatant would be available to return to the octagon shortly after the initial date.

“It’s a very quick recovery. They said it will be four to six weeks, so it’s not long,” she concluded.
