Former UFC lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg), Rafael dos Anjos spoke and received the answer. After criticizing the praise given to Islam makhachev, the Brazilian received change from the Russian in style. Irritated by the Niteroiense's provocations, the pupil of Khabib Nurmagomedov challenged RDA and suggested a date for the eventual confrontation.

The story between the Brazilian and the Russian began after Dos Anjos criticized Islam's success following the Russian's victory in the UFC 259. When analyzing the athlete's triumph over Drew dober, the Niteroi native considered the way in which 'Khabib's successor' was treated exaggerated.
Rafael's statement was not well received by Makhachev. Willing to get closer to the top 5 in the lightweight division, the Russian, in addition to the 'settlement of accounts', sees the clash with the Brazilian as a great opportunity to accelerate his dream of the belt.
Today, Dos Anjos occupies seventh place in the group led by Khabib. Islam, in turn, is in 11th place.
