“Blachowicz fought well and has to be proud. I'm happy for him and to see what he's become. He has to be praised. Even today, as much as we love Blachowicz and how well he did, I still think Jones is the best light heavyweight in the world,” said Cormier.
Despite praise from his former opponent, Jones stated that he will no longer fight in the light heavyweight division. The North American is preparing to debut in the heavyweight category (up to 120.3 kg.), against the winner of Stipe Miocic x Francis Ngannou, scheduled for March 27th, at UFC 260.
