With an eye on UFC 259, Jon Jones mocks Israel Adesanya's defeat

Absolute leader of UFC light heavyweights (93kg) for 10 years, Jon Jones did not hold back after following the results of the UFC 259, held this Saturday (6), in Las Vegas (USA). As a spectator of the main fight of the event, the North American mocked the defeat of Israel adesanya for Jan Blachowicz in the fight for the category belt. On your social networks, 'Bones' took advantage of the moment to 'poke' his 'virtual rival'.

“The best 'changer' MMA has ever seen? It's time for this to end. People are too hasty to jump on the success train,” wrote Jones, in his account on Twitter.

Owner of the middleweight belt (up to 83,9 kg.), winning the top division title was one of Adesanya's goals for 2021. The Nigerian's idea, however, was to have the opportunity in the future to promote a superfight with Jon, who , in August of last season, made his migration to the heavyweight category (up to 120,2kg.) official.

The defeat to Blachowicz, however, postponed Israel's dream. After the stumble, the fighter admitted that he will return to his original category for the next challenge.

While Adesanya remains champion of the under-83,9kg group, Jones continues his preparation to debut in the category led by Stipe Miocic. Recently, Ultimate's president, Dana White, confirmed that 'Bones' will take place between July and September and the North American will face the winner of the clash between the current champion and Francis Ngannou, which exchange forces in the UFC 260.
