Brazilian Antônio “Pezão” Silva was caught in an anti-doping test carried out by the California Athletic Commission at the last EliteXC, where he won the organization's heavyweight title.
Pezão fell due to the use of boldenone, the same substance found in the examination of Alexandre Pequeno, the fighter received a fine of 2,500 dollars and was suspended for 12 months.
The person who also tested positive was Edwin Dewees, due to the use of nandrolone. He faced the Brazilian Rogério Minotouro on Affliction.
