Petr Yan reinforces his desire to face TJ Dillashaw after UFC 259

“The next one I want to fight is TJ Dillashaw. Some people think that he doesn't deserve the fight after the suspension, but I believe that this will not be a reward for him, but a punishment”, explained Yan.

Recently, the Russian also stated that Dillashaw did not lose his title in a confrontation. The athlete gave up his belt after reporting himself in a doping case, which earned the American a two-year suspension. Therefore, Petr believes that a clash against TJ makes sense.

Making his first appearance of the season, Yan has bold plans for the rest of 2021. According to the fighter, his desire is to remain an active champion, stepping into the octagon several times.

“If I don’t have any injuries, I want to get back as soon as possible. I hope to defend my title three times this year”, he concluded.

At 28 years old, Yan will make his 17th appearance as a professional in MMA. The athlete today has 15 triumphs and one setback in the sport.
