UFC should arrive in Russia in 2013

The organization's president, Dana White, confirmed the information to journalists last Saturday

Dana White Disclosed DataThe UFC's global onslaught should gain a new chapter in the largest country, in terms of territory, on the planet. The organization's president, Dana White (photo), was the one who confirmed Ultimate's trip to Russia, later this year, to a small group of journalists after UFC on FOX 6, last Saturday (26).

However, the trip should not include, in principle, a local edition of the reality show. The Ultimate Fighter. “I think what's going to happen in Russia is we put a live event there first,” said White, who was confident about the success of the Russian incursion. “MMA is a big thing there,” he highlighted.

Despite this, there is one thing that the UFC is unlikely to achieve in its adventure in the new country. Well, when talking about Russia and MMA, one name immediately comes to mind: Fedor Emelianenko – fighter considered one of the best heavyweights of all time and who remained undefeated for almost ten years as a professional. Fedor has been retired since June last year and seems to have already demonstrated to Ultimate that his intention is not to fight again. But even that doesn't take away Dana White's confidence. “We will do a live event in Russia and, as with all other events, it will 'explode'!” he concluded.
