the passage of junior gypsy in the UFC Octagon has come to an end. The former heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg.) was fired by Ultimate, this Wednesday (03), after a series of four consecutive defeats. The information about the dismissal was confirmed by the fighter himself through a post on Instagram (see the full post below).

Gypsy in the UFC

junior gypsy, 37 years old, has a professional record of 21 wins and nine losses. He arrived in the UFC in 2008 and won 10 consecutive victories, including winning the heavyweight belt against Cain Velazquez and title defense against Frank mir. His first defeat came brutally, in the rematch against Velasquez at UFC 155, in 2012. The Brazilian went on to dispute the heavyweight throne on two more occasions, being defeated again by Cain at UFC 166, in 2013, and by Stipe Miocc at uFC 211, in 2017.

Cigano's current phase, however, is not good. He comes from four consecutive defeats, all by knockout. The last one happened against Cyryl Gane No. UFC 256in December 2020.
