The disastrous performance of Jairzinho Rozenstruik No. UFC Las Vegas 20 continues to bear fruit for the Surinamese. Defeated by Cyryl Gane last weekend, the 'giant' ended up losing fourth place in the heavyweight rankings (up to 120,2kg) to his rival and fell in the group. The information was confirmed in the weekly update on the official Ultimate website.

When he entered the octagon on Saturday (27), Rozenstruik, in addition to having in his hands the opportunity to get closer to a title fight, had the duty to defend his place in the top 5 of the division. In the fight, however, the Surinamese was unable to impose his game and ended up dominated for 25 minutes by one of the biggest promises for the future of the category.

Now, outside the top five of the group led by Stipe Miocic, Jairzinho will need to prove that he is capable of returning to his old condition. The athlete, however, has no plans for a new fight.

While Rozenstruik mourns, Gane has plenty of reasons to celebrate. Although he didn't put on a show last weekend, the Frenchman extended his unbeaten record in his career and put himself in the spotlight to face the champion.

The athlete, however, must wait for the outcome of the UFC 260, when Miocic defends his title against Francis Ngannou. Ciryl will also await the premiere of Jon Jones in the category. The North American will face the winner of the duel between Stipe and Francis, between June and September.
