With 18 consecutive victories in his career, the last three with the UFC, Glover Teixeira became a potential challenger for the light heavyweight belt. After the triumph against Quinton Rampage Jackson, at UFC on FOX 6, the Brazilian won praise from the former category champion. Despite the tense atmosphere between the fighters at the show's official weigh-in, on Friday (25), Glover and Rampage they hugged after the duel and the respect continued in the locker rooms of the United Center, in Chicago.
Teixeira revealed that even the dressing room Rampage and praised him for his performance. The Brazilian responded with encouragement to seek the division title, currently held by the North American Jon Jones
“I went up to him and told him I was a big fan of his work. He replied that he was also a fan of mine. He told me to go for that title,” Glover said.
