The PFL (Professional Fighters League) announced the card of its second event of the year, scheduled for April 29th, with no defined location. O Show will mark the debut of the former welterweight champion (up to 77kg) of Bellator, Rory McDonald. Making his first appearance at the event, the Canadian will face North American David Michaud, finalist in the category's tournament in the organization's 2019 season.

Hired in October 2019, the 31-year-old athlete will finally have his first fight in the league. Last season, MacDonald was unable to debut due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which forced the organization to halt its activities.
A UFC representative for six years, MacDonald was hired by Bellator, where he was welterweight champion and won three in five fights. The Canadian was dethroned by the Brazilian Douglas lima, who beat him by decision in October 2019.
David Michaud is 32 years old and was runner-up in the last edition of the grand prix. The North American was knocked out by Ray Cooper III in the grand final and was left without the title, despite coming from three consecutive victories. Despite not winning the title, Cooper has seven wins and just two losses in his last nine fights.
Start of the welterweight Grand Prix
The night of fights will also kick off the welterweight and light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) tournaments. The last champion of Rory's division, Ray Cooper, will face Frenchman Jason Ponet in the second most important fight of the event. In the up to 93kg category, the winner of the last grand prix, Argentine Emiliano Sordi, will face veteran Chris Camozzi.
Brazilians João Zeferino, Cezar Mutant and Gleison Tibau will also be on the event card. They will face, respectively, the athletes Magomed Magomedkerimov, Nick Roerick and Aleksei Kunchenko.
