After the emotions of UFC Sao Paulo, last Saturday (19), the marathon of Ultimate events continues tonight (26) with UFC on FOX 6. The event, which will be held in the city of Chicago, features as its main attraction Demetrious Johnson defending the flyweight belt (up to 56,7 kg.) against the challenger John Dodson. The fight program also features two Brazilians in action: on the preliminary card, Rafael Sapo tries rehabilitation within the UFC against Sean Spencer. In the second most anticipated fight of the show, the Brazilian Glover Teixeira face the veteran Quinton Rampage Jackson.
With a streak of 17 wins, the last two with the UFC, Glover Teixeira face Rampage willing to score another triumph and get close to a shot at the light heavyweight belt. Despite his confidence in victory, the Brazilian athlete gave several compliments to his rival.
"The Rampage He is a very tough opponent, difficult to beat. Without a doubt it is the most important fight of my career. He's the biggest name I've ever faced. I need to fight intelligently to get the knockout,” said the Brazilian.
In its turn, Rampage, who is in the last fight of his contract with the UFC, guarantees that he has no interest in renewing his contract with the organization, but denies retiring. “It's just my last fight in the UFC. What makes you think this is my last fight in my career”, he asks Rampage, which puts Glover's undefeated streak into doubt. “He’s never faced someone like me. Certainly not"
