After confirming Fabricio Werdum, the PFL will have another Brazilian for the 2021 season. On the afternoon of this Thursday (25), the company made official the signing of veteran Gleison Tibau. Former UFC fighter, the fighter will compete in the welterweight division.

Famous worldwide as the man who came closest to winning Khabib Nurmagomedov (in 2012), Tibau will return to active duty after spending 2020 without performing. The Brazilian's last fight took place in July 2019, when the Mossoro native beat Will Brooks, at Battlefield FC 2.
Aged 37, Tibau represented the UFC between 2007 and 2018. For the organization chaired by Dana White, the Brazilian had 26 fights, winning 17 times. The athlete was released after a streak of four consecutive defeats.
A professional in MMA since 1999, Gleison today has a record of 49 commitments, with 35 triumphs and 14 setbacks. In addition to Khabib, the Brazilian has faced names like Nick Diaz, Rafael dos Anjos, Francisco Massaranduba, Michael Johnson, Tony Ferguson e Islam makhachev.
