Ultimate sets date for rematch between Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno, says website

After a draw at UFC 256, the organization plans a new fight between a Brazilian and a Mexican for the flyweight belt

After drawing in one of the best fights in flyweight history (up to 56,7kg), the reunion between Deiveson Figueiredo and Brando Moreno is close to having a confirmed date. According to 'ESPN', the new clash between the champion and the Mexican should take place on June 12, in a location that has not yet been defined. The meeting will mark the third title defense of the 'God of War'.

When they left the octagon in December 2020, a new fight between the fighters was already expected by fans, members of the specialized press and Ultimate management. Given the balance of the clash, in the press conference after the show, Dana White confirmed that an immediate rematch would be necessary.

Owner of the title since July last season, Deiveson continues to seek to make history within Ultimate. The company's new favorite, the Brazilian is trying to consolidate himself as one of the biggest names in the category.

Moreno, in turn, wants to end the Brazilian's reign, repeating his good performance against a dangerous and aggressive rival. If he beats 'God of War', Brandon will get his first belt in the company.
