“In the 'midway', my master said that they changed the opponent (laughs). I said: 'What do you mean, man? I'm going there (Las Vegas) and I don't have an opponent?'. We prepare for an opponent, we change, but what matters is that I'm going to fight. I'll knock him out, without a doubt. Whether in the first or second round. He's going to make a mistake and I'm going to let go of his hand. The crowd can't lose, because 'Sabadão' the dick will sing”, said the combatant.

Initially, the Brazilian would exchange forces against Randy Brown at this weekend's show. The American, however, left the card a few days before the clash and ended up being replaced by Ramazan. The fighter from Três Rios then spoke about the change in the 'fit' between styles.

“Brown was going to let me change, I was going to stay in the short and long distance. These Magomedovs (laughs) like to cling on, it's a game changer, but I'm going in. I don't know how to say this thing (name), my business is to come out on top. I'm going to use my agility, move more and jab from afar, because I'm bigger than him. I'm going to use his wingspan to my advantage, keeping my distance. It's going to be a tough fight. He doesn’t have a name, but you can see that he’s tough, he’s undefeated”, he concluded.

In the UFC since 2015, Alex has sought stability within the organization. Between 2018 and 2019, the fighter experienced the worst moment of his career, with three consecutive defeats. The fighter, however, managed to recover in 2020, achieving two positive results in a row.

In his last commitment, however, Cowboy ended up defeated by the debutant Shavkat Rakhmonov, in October. Now, the Brazilian is trying to get back on track to winning ways.
