With no time to waste, Gilbert Durinho starts hunting for Colby Covington

Seeking to regain his status as challenger for the welterweight title, Brazilian wants to fight against North American loudmouth

Defeated by Kamaru Usman No. UFC 258, in a fight valid for the welterweight belt (up to 77kg.), Gilbert Durinho He wasted no time and is already trying to confirm his next appointment. Seeking to regain his status as title challenger, the Brazilian chose Colby covington as a target and began the ‘hunt’ for the loud-mouthed North American. On his Twitter account, the Niteroi native provoked the ‘bad boy'.

"Colby covington?”, wrote Durinho, tagging the North American in the publication.

Willing to return to active duty as quickly as possible, Covington's name emerged as the best option for the Niteroi native to get closer to the current champion. After the defeat to the Nigerian, Gilbert ended up losing first place in the group ranking to Colby himself.

Number one in the group, behind only Usman, Covington has not performed since the big victory over Tyron woodley, in September 2020. After the positive result, the ‘bad boy’ even negotiated a confrontation against Jorge masvidal, but the parties did not reach an agreement.
