UFC São Paulo medical suspensions announced: Bisping out for two months

Wagner Prado, C. J. Keith and Diego Nunes, with six months of suspension each, are athletes who will be inactive for longer

The Ultimate organization released the list of medical suspensions for the UFC Sao Paulo, which was in charge of the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission. Knocked out by the Brazilian Vitor belfort in the main fight of the night, Michael Bisping  he hoped to win the chance to fight for the middleweight belt last Saturday night (19). However, the Brit “earned” a forced two-month break. In addition, the Englishman will have to do without any type of contact training for 45 days.

Overall, there were three groups of suspensions: six months, two months (with 45 days of no contact) and one month (with 21 days of no contact). Three athletes are subject to six-month suspensions: Wagner Caldeirão, C. J. Keith and Diego Nunes. The three may still have their downtime reduced, depending on the results of the exams. Caldeirão and Keith await the results of their MRI scans – the Brazilian on the left knee and the North American on the right. Diego Nunes is now awaiting the opinion of a maxillofacial surgeon.

In the next group, in addition to Michael Bisping, The Brazilians Thiago tavares and Pedro Nobre will also be out of combat for 60 days. Finally, the athletes recommended for a month away are: Ben Rothwell, Miltinho Vieira and Lucas “Mineiro” Martins.
