“Charles applies several flying knees, kicks, different blows, but do you know what I'm going to do? I'll go through all of this. I don't know how, but I will get through this. I'll grab him and he'll think he's going to take me down, but he won't. I'm the one who's going to fall. He will try submissions, but they won't work. It will be a fight between two great fighters until one gives up and I'm sure it won't be me”, said Rafael Cordeiro's pupil

The two were even scheduled for a fight, which would take place in October 2020, in Abu Dhabi. The Brazilian, however, left the fight due to personal problems. The Iranian, however, did not forget the current number three of the ranking and even complained about the lack of availability to face the top guys in the category.

“I thought we were fighters. I feel like I'm working with business people. Don't fighters want to fight? Just say yes”, asked Dariush

Beneil has 19 fights for the UFC and his record is 14 wins, four losses and one draw. In his last fight he won Carlos Diego Ferreira, by decision, in February of this year, in the UFC Las Vegas 18.
