Anderson Silva denies having signed a new contract for ten more fights in the UFC

Brazilian denies that he would have agreed a new relationship with Ultimate, but confirms meeting with the organization's management

Anderson-collectiveEven after Dana White announced that Anderson Silva had agreed a new contract for ten more fights for the UFC, the Brazilian denied that he had reached a new agreement with the organization. In an interview with the North American website mma mania, right after the end of the UFC Sao Paulo, Anderson denied the news already released and confirmed a meeting with Ultimate's top management to define its future.

“At this moment there is nothing signed. I will meet with Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta. We will see. Maybe, maybe…”, said the middleweight champion. In the conversation, Anderson was also asked about his next opponent. The fighter said he does not yet know who he will fight and made this decision dependent on the outcome of the meeting he will have with the UFC.

The last defense of the belt of Anderson Silva it was at UFC 148, on July 7, 2012. On that occasion, “Spider” won Chael Sonnen by technical knockout in the second round. Since then, Anderson has had just one more fight, at UFC Rio 3, but in the light heavyweight category (up to 93kg), against Stephan bonnar.
