Zabit's brother Khasan Magomedsharipov signs contract with Bellator

Bellator signed a contract with Khasan Magomedsharipov, younger brother of featherweight (up to 65,7kg.) Zabit. The Dagestani is undefeated in five fights in his career and does not yet have a defined debut date. The information was released by 'MMA Junkie'.

At 20 years old, Khasan made his MMA debut in December 2019, when he beat Amil Nasirov by rear naked choke. Since then, he has finished twice and won another by unanimous decision. In his most recent fight, Zabit's brother knocked out compatriot Mikhail Tarkhanov for the first time.

Like his brother, Khasan Magomedsharipov also fights at featherweight. He currently trains with Zabit, under the guidance of Mark Henry, who is the coach of former Ultimate champions, Frankie Edgar e cody garbrandt.

Bellator announced his return for April 2nd. The main duel will be marked by a rematch between the champion of the featherweight category (up to 65,7kg.) Patrick Pitbull against Emmanuel sanchez, valid for the semifinal of the current Grand Prix of the division. The winner qualifies for the tournament final against A. J. McKee, in June.
