Out of UFC 260, which takes place on March 27, due to an injury to the pectoral muscle, Johnny Walker did not escape unscathed from the criticism of Jimmy crute. The athlete, who would face the Brazilian in one of the main fights of the night, did not hide his disappointment at the cut of the fighter from Belford Roxo (RJ). On his Instagram account, the Australian took aim at the promise of the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg).

“A wise man named Daniel Kelly once told me, 'In a sport theoretically full of tough guys, you'd be surprised how many sissies there are.' Wise words. Disappointed that my opponent escaped once again. I can’t say I’m surprised,” Crute wrote.

Jimmy, however, had no part in the UFC 260 cancelled. Now, the Australian will face the former challenger for the category belt, Anthony Smith. Unlike his treatment of the Brazilian, the fighter was excited about his new opponent.

“I can't express how excited and grateful I am to have a real fighter who agreed to face me. It's a better fight, a better name and a great challenge. I’m ready,” he signed off.

Current number 12 in the ranking led by Jan Blachowicz, Crute wants to confirm the good phase in Ultimate. In his last commitment, in October 2020, the Australian ran over Modest Bukauskas with a knockout in the first round. To date, the athlete has five fights for the UFC, with four wins and one setback.
