Brazilian fans may soon have another option to watch the main UFC events. According to a report published by the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo, Globosat, the pay TV group of Organizações Globo, is negotiating the possibility of showing Ultimate events in several cinemas throughout Brazil.
According to the report by Sheet, the project is still in its initial phase, but would already be part of the new contract between UFC and Globosat. The parties signed a new agreement, valid until 2022, guaranteeing exclusivity in Ultimate broadcasts for the group on pay-per-view, on the internet and in videos on demand. The current contract also has a renewal option clause for another five years, which could extend the contract until 2027.
