Opening the main card of UFC Las Vegas 18, held this Saturday (6), in the United States, Danilo Marques He shined again and maintained his unbeaten record with Ultimate gloves. In the confrontation against Mike Rodriguez, the light heavyweight (under 93kg) 'erased' his rival with a rear naked choke in the second round and achieved his second triumph for the company.

With the result, the Brazilian reached his 11th positive result in 13 appearances as a professional in MMA. Marques has not lost since April 2017, when he played for LFA.
The fight
Since stepping into the Octagon this weekend, Danilo has made it clear that his game plan was to test his opponent's ground game. Incisive in his attacks on the legs, the athlete had no difficulty in taking down Mike, who was inferior throughout the confrontation.
In the second stage, with just a few seconds left in the fight, Marques managed to secure a rear naked choke. Rodriguez tried to resist, but ended up blacking out, forcing the referee to stop the duel.
