Dominick Reyes withdraws from UFC Las Vegas 20 and fight against Jiri Prochazka will be rescheduled, says website

Combate would be the main attraction of the event, but was replaced by Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Giryl Gane, in the heavyweight division; Ultimate plans to reschedule the clash on another date

The former challenger for the light heavyweight title (up to 93kg.), Dominick reyes, was injured during training and is out of the fight against Jiri Prochazka, UFC Las Vegas 20, which will be held on February 27th. Initially, the fight would be the main attraction of the event, but it was replaced by the duel between the heavyweights (up to 120,2kg.) Jairzinho Rozenstruik e Cyryl Gane. Number 3 in the under-93kg category ranking, Reyes is going through a turbulent time in his career, with two consecutive defeats, both in fights for the belt. Firstly, the North American was defeated by Jon Jones in the judges' decision. With the rise of 'Bones' at heavyweight, he once again had a chance at the title, but was knocked out by Jan Blachowicz, UFC 253, which took place in September 2020.

Prochazka, in turn, has only one fight in Ultimate, when he knocked out Volkan oezdemir in an electrifying fight, in the UFC 251, in July. The Czech, however, has already gained some popularity for having won the belt from the Japanese organization – Rizin FF – and has won 11 consecutive victories.

Besides Jairzinho Rozenstruik e Cyryl Gane, the card also features the presence of the Brazilian Alex Cowboy, which faces Randy Brown. The peasant Thiago Moses must measure forces against Alexander Hernandez, while Mayra Bueno duels against Mountain Rose.
